Do you work from photos?
Yes! Emma works exclusively from photographs, and more often than not these will be photographs taken by you. Emma has created some helpful guides about how to select or take the perfect photo.
What sizes of drawing are available?
Emma draws commissions in any size and ratio (e.g. square portraits) ranging from 6”x4” all the way up to A1. Please note that the size of a portrait is the size of the completed drawing (i.e. the size of the visible paper of the drawing).
The total size of the drawing in it’s frame will be larger than the dimensions given. Emma can advise as to how large your portrait will be in its frame/mount.
Do you offer framing?
Yes! You can have your portrait professionally framed, if you desire. Framing prices for this start from £60. A precise cost for framing will be provided with your quote.
What is the cost of a portrait?
Every portrait is unique, so please get in touch with Emma for a bespoke quote. Prices start from £349.
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes! Emma ships her portraits all over the world. Please get in touch for a specific quote to ship to your address.
How is payment taken?
Emma takes payment using a secure payment link through her website or by BACS transfer.
A deposit of 50% the total order value is required to be added to the waiting list and the remaining balance must be paid before the drawing process begins. You will be provided with invoices for all payments.
What is the wait time?
Get in touch to find out what the current wait time is. Discuss your deadline with Emma and she will let you know if it can be met.
Do I get updates throughout the drawing process?
Yes! Emma will email you progress photos of your drawing as it comes together. There is also the option to have a time-lapse video of your drawing, but this needs to be agreed before the drawing process begins!
How will I receive my portrait?
Portraits are beautifully gift-wrapped and posted to you or a recipient of your choice. Emma does not roll drawings up – they are delivered either with a frame or a mount and are carefully packaged to ensure their safe transit.
How long does it take to complete a portrait?
Depending on the size and nature of the portrait, they can take anywhere between a few days to four weeks to complete.
Emma’s lead times are dependent on how many other commissions Emma currently has lined up; she will notify you of approximate lead times before you confirm your commission.
Can I have professional prints of my portrait?
Yes! Emma can provides Giclée art prints in a variety of sizes. These make great gifts for family and friends.

Will my drawing appear on this website or on Emma’s social media?
Yes! Emma loves to keep her digital portfolio up-to-date as this is a great way for her to showcase what she is working on. Of course, if you are commissioning your portrait as a gift and would like to keep it a secret, Emma is happy not to share it until after you have given the gift – just let her know beforehand! If for any other reason you would not like your drawing to appear online, please let Emma know in advance.
